Samurai concept. I actually tried doing this one using a different method. Ditched the initial line-work and went directly to the shapes and colors. It's a satisfying process, but only time and practice will tell if I'll be able to get used to it.
Initial concept for my next D&D character, Satoshi Kon Alexander.
As a child he traveled to the west with his master and was offered to the local king as a guardian. Growing up, he became used to the western costumes, becoming then an exotic hybrid of cultures. Thought the outcome would be interesting and rolled him as a double blade type ranger. He has two magical swords inherited from his master, a longbow and an enchanted tattoo of vengeance on the right shoulder.
On a second look I'm really not satisfied with his arm/forearm anatomy, should have payed more attention while drawing it. It's hard to fix it now. Oh well... No use crying over spilled milk!
